Areeba is a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner driven by a passion for aiding others.
With a background as a constable in the New South Wales Police Force for nearly four years, she has developed a unique insight and comprehension of human behaviours, enhancing her ability to empathise and connect with clients facing a diverse range of challenges.
Areeba has three years of experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, during which time she has provided assistance to individuals of all ages under the NDIS with a direct focus on adult participants, including end-of-life. Currently holding proficiency as recognised by the NDIS, Areeba has undertaken a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University and is currently completing a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling, which is due to finish in May 2025. In her role with the Therapeutic Collective, Areeba can support participants with:
- Behavioural assessments
- Evidence-based clinical management and intervention
- Behavioural strategy development and implementation
- Crisis and risk management
- Mental health challenges and concerns
